When I think of fall weddings, this one will always come to mind for me. It was everything I love about fall!

Speaking of fall weddings, it can be such a busy time of the year for not only families, but wedding vendors also. We see a lot of couples surprised at how early in the year their preferred vendor is booked for their date. Don’t make the mistake of missing out on booking the one you have envisioned working beside you on wedding day.

Jessica and Philip’s day was smooth and easy because they had such a wonderful team of vendors! We were excited to be a part of the vision.

I just had a friend share a photo of their wedding dress with me and it got me thinking about one of my favorites.

The simplicity and elegance of Allison’s dress still takes me aback. I’m an “extra” kind of person. I typically like all the bells and whistles. Her dress was hard to ignore all evening! It really encompassed and showcased her inner beauty and I still love it to this day.

The dress that she wore for her tea ceremony, an ao dai, was equally as stunning and we were so happy that her guests were able to see both dresses on the wedding day!

When all the details come together, it really is quite spectacular.

I never get over the awe of watching things come together intertwined with the chemistry of our relationship with others. Vendor to vendor. Vendor to couple. Couple to family. Family to family.

There’s a magnetic energy that surrounds weddings that encapsulates all that keeps us going in this world. Top it off with the relationship you build with your couple ~ magical.

This girly. Faith.

She constantly had me laughing out loud when I would get a text or phone call from her. She is the definition of “life of the party”.

You always knew where to find her in a room by her laugh. Her eyes pretty much make you do anything she wanted. And she is as genuine as they come.

Faith was such an easy going bride. Sometimes that’s a blessing. Sometimes it made me nervous as to make sure everything was right for her. I couldn’t have asked for a better time with this one. She really is unforgettable!

I have to say that showing up on social media has been one of the hardest things for me as a business owner this year. Life was really lifeing this year!
Personal loss, family, new opportunities, and time fleeting so quickly can take a toll on us as business owners.

Then you get moments like these in a text from the bride and you realize why you do what you do. And the last few months have reminded me why I love what I do. It’s not for clout. It’s not to go viral. It’s all about connection. It’s about showing up when you don’t feel like showing up because that’s what love does. When you truly love people, that love trumps anything you’re walking through.

Here’s to showing up more here with Nightingale Opus, because there are a lot of people I love that need their stories of love told.

I would like to interrupt Your regularly scheduled program, dinner, Star Wars marathon, or pre Cinco De Mayo plans to celebrate the most amazing couple on their anniversary!!

I just ran into Noel and Eli just a little over a month ago. The joy in my heart was uncontainable. They are not only a power couple in their own right, but they exude a quiet but bold coolness that I may never attain. I love the last picture of them so much that it is a part of my rotating wallpaper on my phone. Seriously.

It’s funny how God knows just who to place in your life in just the right time. Now I run into Noel from time to time since she is a wonder friendor in the wedding business. It makes my heart swell to see her every time. I love to celebrate my couples- but I love to see just how much Eli and Noel celebrate others too.

Happy Anniversary, you two!!

Last Summer I sat across from Maddie .co ( a frequent haunt for most of us), and was enraptured as I listened to her share her love story with such wonderment and awe. Maddie’s face could have told me the whole love story without a word. This one was for real. This was theirs.

When I finally had the opportunity to meet Jacob, I understood. Jacob is the perfect gentleman, incredibly intelligent, and kind. Those two together are going to be unstoppable. Tulsa is lucky to have these two in its midst.

The gift of community is something very dear to me. The Cheathams understand community and embody it. They have a beautiful one that they have built and contribute greatly to. It’s a beautiful thing to witness and an honor to be a part of!

Here’s to the Cheathams!

What do I love most about weddings?!?

The wedding party. The ones that know you best. The ones that heard about the crush you had on your future forever. They hold secrets everyone else at the wedding have no idea about. And above all else- they are the ones to hype you up, cry at the right moments, and share some stories you wish they wouldn’t share.

They know me as V. I know them as your sister, friend, comrade, partner, bruh, and companion.
