Full disclosure. Many venues don’t know this, and not knowing or ignoring this information can cost a venue a lot of money. Starting karaoke is an investment. Smaller bars should expect to pay each pro agency at least $500 annually for a blanket license to start a new karaoke show with no established following. This could be less, and there could be payment plans, idk, this is just A1 generated info and these agencies only talk to venue owners, they won’t even talk to KJ’s. But each venue should call these numbers to make sure they have a blanket license in place before considering karaoke. And no, a subscription to Rockbot, Soundtrack, etc, does not cover your fees to these pro agencies. There is no way around them. It wouldn’t be right me knowing this info and not not sharing it with venues who may not know. Just trying to look out. Karafun Pro, mentioned here, is what I use for both karaoke and background music. And Rockstar Karaoke is registered in the State of Florida. So we are completely covered on my end.

You know what this is? It's a UV Sanitizer. You can put anything in it, like say, a microphone, and it's completely sanitized 8 minutes later. And I now have one. Since I have a set of 4 wireless mics, there will never be an issue with wait time between singers. And even if there is time in between singers, my background music is phat and generally appeals to all tastes. So get at me for covid free karaoke!
