Today was supposed to be a very special day for one of our clients. Sadly it was canceled due to "the virus." Still, our client was thoughtful enough to send us this sweet message. 💝

Several years ago the un-gala gala became popular. You'd receive a lavish invitation in the mail but it was only a call for funding for a specific charity. That idea ran its course but I feel we'll be seeing it resurface soon. 🙃🙂

Every once in a while we get asked "why should I hire an event producer" when an entry-level assistant could be tasked. Other than bringing creativity and years of experience doing this one thing (and needless to say multi-tasking), building valuable relationships with vendors that can benefit the client, we can handle crisis. Doing our homework about this pandemic, we first contacted each venue we have events booked to determine options, available dates in the future and refund policies. From there we formulated various solutions then contacted our clients with their options and offered a strategy to effectively communicate any change in plans. We do not panic in the face of crisis. Our clients and vendors are our first priority. So why do some people think an entry-level person can do this...can they do the job of banker, lawyer, or executive director? I think not. It's been a tough week for us all, but this situation separates the pros from the amateurs. So next time someone questions hiring an event professional you may now realize the difference.

As a client said to me today...Being Event Queen is tough with a global pandemic. Being proactive is mandatory and tough decisions have to made and communicated with a positive outlook. This will pass and we will all move forward. More to come...

Just taking a breath after last weeks amazing MUSE Awards and saw this sweet tribute in the event program. Gifted and unflappable...love it! I guess that's one reason this has been named the pARTy of the year for 7 years! Congrats and thank you to our client and friends at the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance!
