Hiiiiii-ah!!! How are you?!?! Wow, I've missed Y'all. It has been a long time. If you didn't know, I had my last (well , I'm pretty sure my last. We've said that a few times in the Carter home 😅) baby . Back in October, we welcomed our 5th precious baby boy, Reid, into our family.

I had every intention of coming back to work in time for Christmas mini sessions last year... However, that absolutely did not happen.

After having this sweet boy, I slowed my roll more than anytime before. I spend countless hours just staring at him, holding him, taking in every little coo, every smile , the SMELL.( THE NEWBORN SMELL 🥹) Even the cry that only mommy can soothe.

If you don't know, Reid also had extreme colic that made it almost impossible to set him down for the 1st 6months of his life. He really would only be out of my arms and in either his daddy's or siblings arms long enough for me to cook dinner.

Great news, Reid loves his dad now 😉🤣 I have been able to leave over the last couple months for extended periods of time and I get tons of videos sent to me of them having a giggle fest. I took this as my sign that I can finally go back to work and talk to adults. (Don't be surprised if I'm awkward, or call you pumpkin pie by mistake. It's been awhile 🙃) jk.

Anyway, I wrote this novel only to tell you , IM BACK! AND CANT WAIT TO SPEND TIME WITH YALL AGAIN!! I'm doing a special :

There is something so special about the last few weeks before your youngest becomes a big brother or sister. And then.......

Then the day comes when new baby arrives and the mix of emotions and hormones...

Do you remember how your baby didn't feel like a baby any more the 1st time you hold them after the newborn arrives? They feel so sturdy. So big. So independent. You want to cry because you're worried that they will think you like the new baby more. You feel overwhelmed by the thought " how I can make them both feel so loved at the same time?"

You will have days where the toddler is just not having it. Tantrums galore and a new baby that literally depends on you every moment of the day. You'll question yourself. You'll wonder if you're doing it right.

You might even do the absolute worst thing, turn to the internet and see how "perfect" someone else is doing. I urge you to remember, the internet is fake ,and your precious babies only want you. You're the most important thing in the world to them. Don't over think it or let strangers on the internet fool you into thinking you're anything less than. Their kids cry too. They stay in jammies all day sometimes too.
They worry they're falling short some days too.

The honest truth, we're all still trying to figure things out. If you question if you're doing it right or not , watch your child walk straight past dad in the kitchen , find you 3 rooms away and ask YOU to give them more water in their cup 😜
Kidding. But for real. 🫶
(Or maybe this is just my personal experience as a mom of 5 now 🤔 😅)

Hiiiiiii!!! WOW been-ah hot minute. So a lot of you know ,I took some time off while I had my last baby (Number 5 ✨️)
Reid is now 7months old and over the past couple months I've had a few of yall reach out and ask if I'm back yet. While it's been a very soft launch, I'm happy to announce I AM BACK!!! Well, kinda.
This sweet sweet precious child is more of a mama's boy than Lainey was a mama's princess and my velcro. (Some of you have even had the pleasure of Lainey being an audience member as you had your photos done.) Welllllll , imagine that ,but more. We've got a stage 5 clinger..... AND ITS ME! lol I hate leaving this little one. But , every time I've gone to work over the past couple months , I've enjoyed yall so much.

So , with that being said and summer making me feel all happy.....I'm ready to come back. But....
Again, slow launch here. I'll only be taking 3- 5 sessions a week. Give or take. I am so excited to see your faces again. In the meantime, check out these sweet faces!!

This brand new baby shocked me to my core. I felt like I still had a newborn until I picked his sweet little self up. And then I spend the rest of my day crying bc my baby is now a big baby and not exactly a newborn anymore.

Fun fact: I've done photos for this baby's mama since his oldest brother was in the womb 🥹 Love this family so so much 💙

Say 🎀🎆🎂Happy 9th Birthday🎂🎆🎀 to my beautiful neice.

I am living for these "Dirty Dress & Barefoot" photos. They are timeless and beautiful. And I can't even begin to describe my excitement when she showed up with all those gorgeous flowers and floral crown 🥹✨️ By the way ,the flowers came out of her other Aunts garden 🤯 💐 her mama made that crown with hand picked home grown flowers. ❤️ Talent.

📢Book these for your little girl ASAP. Summers not over till it's over. Let's squeeze every last drop out of it before you can't feel your fingers and it physically hurts to exist because of -30° Temps. 📢

Hi!! Long time no post.
2 things on my mind this Friday:

How precious is my sweet (almost 7) year old little girl 🫶🥹💕 I could be biased, but as absolutely beautiful as she is, she is even more funny,smart,clever and has so much heart. I'm gonna stop there because I could go on all day. She's going to make the absolute best BIG SISTER EVER!

If you haven't heard the news yet, I'm pregnant!!! Baby #5 will be here this October🎉✨️🎇🎆.
I Wanted to touch base with you all and let you know ,as I'm already starting to get fall and Christmas photo detail requests, now is the time to book. I will close out my books Oct 12(possibly 15th) through Nov 15th.
However, when I return Nov 15th , I will be doing limited sessions until fully healed and recovered. (5th c section, so it will take me a little longer than normal)

So if you have been needing to book and have been putting if off, now is the time 💕

To all of my "Regulars" thanks for always reaching out even when my page goes dark. 🤣🥹🫶 Y'all are also the ONLY ones outside of family that know the gender of baby #5 because as soon as you see me you ask ,and I cannot hide it 🤣🤣🤣🤫🤫🤫.
