The only thing which rivals the amount of music I listen to is the number of books I read in a given year. Yeah, your DJ is a nerd; it happens.

Wedding season just started, so I tried to keep it kind of light this month.

1. My favorite read of June was “Seek Shelter Immediately.” It went so many places I didn’t anticipate!

2. I gave John Grisham a fair shake and read four of his books. He just doesn’t do it for me. I don’t feel compelled to read any more of his work after this.

3. My daughter is in the Percy Jackson musical this month, so I wanted to get through the series so we could discuss the characters.

4. I always have time to read a Stephen King novel.

5. I read a book about the downfall of those fellas from Germany in the 40s because it’s nice to know that tyrants can be defeated. Apropos of nothing in particular, of course.
