I have been remiss in my display of gratitude towards the amazing woman who is my mother, JoAnn Kern .
I have been in my house for a little over 12 years now and one of the biggest annoyances was the very uneven floor in the basement, that was just a bunch of concrete poured over ground various times during the early-mid 1900s. This is made it very hard to store things, clean, and keep out groundwater.
So while I was on my much-needed vacation in Japan, my talented mother was single-handedly completing the much-needed work on my basement floor by teaching herself how to self-level cement...and then execute it at a near professional level.
When I say that her dedication and skill level are second to none, I really do mean it.
I love it so much and am SO GRATEFUL for this project to finally be completed!!!!

I am inexplicably grateful to have had the opportunity to be on the other side of a camera for a photo shoot with Alex (Insta handle: ). 浅草着物レンタル 八重 /和服出租 東京淺草 八重 / Kimono Rental YAE staff were so helpful and kind while we were making our selections from an incredibly vast collection of plus size kimonos. Overall I am so thankful and amazed at the generosity, kindness, and respect that we were shown during the whole process and day spent walking around the neighborhood. どうもありがとうございます 💕

Also a huge shout out to my friend, Monica for coming along on this adventure with me. It was definitely one of the highlights of my entire year!
