It's that time of year again, voting for Minnesota Bride magazine is open!

We would so appreciate your vote (you can write in Posies and Poise in the Wedding Planner category) the link is in the comments below. Just like the perfect detail shot, there are a lot of elements that go into creating a great description of an entire year.
I think it's important to recognize the hardships of this year, so we can see the glimmers of hope and how adversity can make us stronger.
So many of our amazing couples had to change, postpone, or even cancel one of the most special days of their lives. As a wedding planner, this is especially heartbreaking. We make it our mission to make our clients wedding dreams come true, and when so many challenges are thrown at these wonderful couples, it is difficult to help them through a once in a lifetime kind of adversity. But thankfully, our team met every challenge and heartbreaking call with the upmost of optimism, and we made a lot of dreams come true, even if it looked different than what our couples had initially envisioned. Thank you to all of our wonderful 2020 clients, you are truly an inspiration to our team.
We had to watch several of our industry vendor friends struggle immensely; financially, physically, and mentally. And let me tell you, they were not alone in that struggle. The wedding and event industry, like many industries, is a tight knit community. We lean on each other when times are hard, we listen and are empathetic to each others stories of struggles, and we are always there to help a fellow colleague in need. I am so proud of the events industry and the band that has been created between all of us. We will get through this difficult time, and for those who have been knocked out by this year, we will be there for you when things get better and doors start opening again.
2020 had many challenges for us all. And all of this adversity has brought us opportunities to learn, grow, and challenge ourselves. I am thankful for the growth and introspection I have learned over this year, and I am immensely excited for what 2021 will bring.
The best is yet to come. Happy New Years.

So thankful for many things this Thanksgiving. Although it may look different, we have so much gratitude for our families, amazing team, and wonderful clients. Hoping you all can find reasons to be thankful this Thanksgiving day, cheers is to a new season of giving and merriment.

10 years. I cannot believe this weekend marks 10 years since Jen and Matt's wedding.
10 years since my very first solo experience as a wedding planner.

As I think about that day at Rush Creek Golf Club, there are so many things I look back and smile about. The day was absolutely beautiful, the couple so madly in love, most of the vendors I worked with were so helpful and gracious knowing it was my first wedding by myself (you probably dont remember this but I'm looking at you Sarah Pollio !)

Although the day went great and the couple was so happy at the end if the night, there were definitely some cringeworthy moments too. Like having to commute from Eagan to Buffalo on a weekly basis for planning meetings, or getting hit on by a creepy DJ who would later try to take advantage of my greenness in the industry to get me to pay him to be a part of his "wedding collective".

I am so proud of that wedding, because although there were some hiccups along the way, that event really solidified my desire to become a wedding planner and own my own business. There have been many, MANY, more lessons learned along the way, but I am so proud of the business that my team and I have built, and I cannot wait to see where we take this in the next 10 years.

Hi friends. I know we have been a little quiet on social media lately since the craziness started. Honestly, it's because I am having a hard time trying to find the right words to say.

It's so hard to be happy and cheery on Instagram talking about all of these lovely moments our past couples got to experience, while our current brides are in crisis wondering if their big day is even going to happen.

We have been working extremely hard to help find resolutions for our couples, from postponements to cancellations to just trying to find a reason to smile. We cannot thank our brides and grooms enough for being patient during this turbulent time. We are here for you. We always will be. If there is ANYTHING you need please let us know.

The good news is, this is going to pass. Weddings will happen again. And when they come back, they are going to be having a moment. Because we all love weddings right? We all love those special looks between a bride and her bridesmaids when she puts her dress on for the first time, the tears that flow when a bride gives her dad a special hug, the tenderness of a couples first dance. We love it. You love it. It will be back.

Until then we will continue to work tirelessly with our other amazing vendor and industry partners to get our couples through this. The whole wedding and event industry has banded together during this time and are forging a new path that is even more supportive and and incredible than it was before, and it was pretty good before.

As we face these uncertain times and the world seems so dark, our team at Revel & Flourish wanted to do our part in spreading a little cheer.
