Hey everyone!

Just a couple of updates:

- If you wanted a session with snow, I’ll be in touch within the next couple of days to start looking at dates! We finally have enough accumulation that I think it will look like a winter wonderland 😍 We just have to get through this cold!

- Policy change: It makes me incredibly sad to have to make this change, but it’s time to change my policy surrounding payment. Payment will now be required in full before gallery delivery for portraits and on or before wedding days for weddings (before any photos are taken).

Unfortunately, it has happened too many times that I have delivered both wedding and portrait galleries before receipt of payment as a gesture of good will, but ultimately never receive payment. Most will say that this should be common sense as a business owner and I agree. I’ve been advised to change policy by more seasoned photographer mentors for a while now, but I ignored their advice because I foolishly hoped that I would be the exception. Lesson learned. Onward and upward. 😊

This year's theme is holiday baking! We'll be indoor this year, but there will also be opportunity for some outdoor photos against a backdrop of pine trees if you prefer an outdoor backdrop (and if weather allows).

I've been working with Paige and Sam for over 5 years. It's been a gift to photograph and celebrate some of the most beautiful moments in their lives from their engagements to their wedding, graduation, and more. I love them like they are my own family.

Paige lost her father to cancer in 2023 and has been fighting her own battle against cancer since. When things were finally looking better, Paige received the devastating news that the cancer had recurred and spread, resulting in a Stage IV diagnosis.

I'm hosting a day of donation-based sessions in the Brighton/Howell area in an effort to raise money to support Paige during this time.

Starting in January 2025, I'm opening my books for longer-term contracts with small businesses and corporations to assist with:

- social media photography + content creation
- creative direction/consult
- commercial photography (ecommerce)
- branding + campaign imagery
- headshots + internal photo needs

I've done this on a smaller scale in previous years with lots of individual branding sessions, but I'm excited to allot more of my schedule to it this year. This isn't intended to replace portraits, but my goal is to shift some of my evenings and weekends to regular working hours so I can spend more time with my family and have better work-life balance.
