Agapae is a collection of breathtaking views, each offering a different backdrop for your wedding weekend. From centuries-old oaks to wide-open marsh, these are a few of the scenes we never tire of.
• The Main House & Lawn •
Our beautifully preserved 1790s home is one of the rare historic homes of its era where you can actually gather, stay, and celebrate with your favorite people. With a bridal suite, bunk room, full kitchen, and front porch made for catching the marsh breeze, there are so many ways to make it yours for the weekend.
• The Angel Oak •
Standing guard over the property for more than 200 years, our Angel Oak has a way of taking your breath away. Ceremonies here feel almost enveloped by its sprawling branches, Spanish moss, and fern-covered limbs.
• The Freshwater Pond •
Tucked just behind the great Angel Oak, our freshwater pond is one of the biggest draws for wildlife on the property. Egrets, pink spoonbills, and countless other creatures stop here along their migrations or make their homes among the grounds — a little reminder that we get to share this beautiful place with so much life.
• The Bunkhouse •
One of the best parts of a weekend at Agapae is having the room to settle in, relax, and actually spend time with your people. The Bunk House sleeps around 14 additional guests, giving even more of your favorite people the chance to stay right here on the grounds.
• The Marsh Dock •
There’s no better place to watch the tides roll in and out — and with them, the marsh landscape change by the hour. More than a beautiful photo op, the dock is a place to slow down and really take in this little corner of the Lowcountry.
• The Fallen Oak •
One of our most treasured trees, the Fallen Oak survived Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and remains part of the landscape today. Its sprawling form has become a beautiful backdrop in its own right — and a favorite tucked-away spot for caterers and vendors to make a little magic behind the scenes.
Perhaps our favorite thing about Agapae is that there isn’t just one way to use it.
