Behind every unforgettable air show is a team of professionals working tirelessly behind the scenes to make the impossible look effortless.
The success of the 2026 North Star Air Show simply would not have been possible without Jim “Cookie” Crum and Luke Carrico.
Jim “Cookie” Crum is one of the most respected Air Bosses in the air show industry. His decades of experience—from serving with a USAF Demonstration Team to organizing military air shows and leading as an Air Boss—bring an unmatched level of professionalism and safety to every event. As an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), CFII, Airframe Mechanic, and pilot with more than 8,000 flight hours, Cookie’s knowledge and leadership allow performers and spectators alike to experience the magic of aviation with confidence.
Luke Carrico has become one of the most recognizable voices in aviation. From Maine to California, Japan to the Middle East, Luke has narrated some of the world’s premier air shows while working alongside every major North American military jet demonstration team, countless civilian performers, and world-class aerobatic acts. In 2026 alone, he’ll announce nearly 30 air shows across 18 states and two countries, reaching more than two million spectators. His passion, energy, and storytelling help transform every performance into an unforgettable experience.
To Cookie and Luke —thank you for your dedication, professionalism, and countless hours of work behind the scenes. Air shows aren’t just about the airplanes in the sky; they’re about the incredible people who make them happen. Your commitment to aviation inspires performers, organizers, and the next generation of dreamers alike.
From all of us at the North Star Air Show, thank you for helping create a weekend that our community will never forget.
