Reflection on the last 2 days in Downtown Saint Albans !! We worked for months with the Preservation Trust of Vermont and the Vermont Arts Council to put on 2 conferences this past Thursday and Friday. Welcoming over 500 people from all over our great state across the 2 days to not only learn and network, but also to enjoy our beautiful downtown, and enjoy they did!!!!
There are so many people we have to thank, hope we don't miss anyone!! Thank you Public Works for shining up the city, you all did the hardest job and the best job. Thank you Kelly-Jo Wakefield and her team made sure the plantings, flowers, and hanging baskets were in place to amaze our visitors. Thank you for the support of the Rotary Club of St. Albans, Vermont and the Downtown Board for helping with welcoming, directions, and lunch, your passion and joy is unmatched! Thank you to all the contributing businesses The Traveled Cup , Mimmo's Pizzeria & Restaurant - Saint Albans , Tatro's Soup & Sandwich , Kaiju Kitchen , Twiggs - An American Gastropub, Black Radish at 14th Star , 14th Star Brewing Company, Red House Sweets, and The Clean Spoon who fed the masses across 3 days!! Thank you to the First Congregational Church of St. Albans , Saint Pauls UMC - VT , Saint Albans Museum , St. Albans Free Library , Welden Theatre , ReMarketVT , Hampton Inn by Hilton - St. Albans, Vermont , and St Albans City Hall for being great hosts, offering spaces where people could learn and have fun!! Thank you to all the local leaders who contributed to the sessions and dinner speeches there are too many to name. Thank you to all of our amazing businesses who rolled out the red carpet for our visitors - they all expressed how amazing you all are! Lastly thank you to the dedicated City Staff Arleigh A Young and Chip Sawyer who helped from planning to set up and breakdown!!
The impact of these events is huge!! So many of those who came had never been here before, but by the time they left they were planning a return visit. Our hearts are full❤️❤️❤️❤️
