Chris + Sara | Stonegate Farms Wedding

Some weddings are pure sunshine, and others… save it for the perfect moment ☀️

Chris and Sara’s day at Stonegate Farms was soft, overcast, and beautifully moody right up until the last 15 minutes of portraits when the sun broke through just for them. It was as if the light itself waited all day to bless their love story.

🍂From the start, I knew this was going to be a day full of heart. Stonegate’s spacious bridal home gave the ladies a gorgeous spot to get ready (seriously, dream lighting!), while the guys had one of the best groom spaces I’ve seen at any venue! Big, comfortable, and perfect for all their pre-ceremony antics including a quick game of poker and maybe one or two video game battles after.

Before the ceremony, Chris and Sara exchanged private vows without seeing each other… and let’s just say, the tears started early and didn’t stop. (If I had to sum up the day in two words? Kisses & Tears.)

And speaking of unforgettable moments , earlier in the day, I pulled Chris aside to give him a surprise groom gift: a bo***ir album full of special images that Sara and I had created together a my studio under Starla Dear Bo***ir. His reaction? Equal parts laughter, blushing, and the sweetest teary-eyed disbelief as he whispered over and over, “She’s just so beautiful.”
(Ladies… trust me, this is your sign to book your session. 😉 It’s the best gift you can give , for him and for you.)

Chris’s four daughters did a first look with him that melted every heart. So many hugs, tears, and pure love. The bridal party was fun, helpful, and full of personality, truly the best kind of chaos.

Huge shoutout to Reilly from Haley Makay Events, who was a total rockstar. By the end of the night, we were high-fiving and laughing about how perfectly everything went because we had one another.

DJ Chuck with Act 1 Entertainment brought the magic (literally) with their patented “Dancing on a Cloud” first dance that took everyone’s breath away, the photo booth kept popping, and the caricature artist was such a hit! The Stonegate Farms staff were amazing start to finish, and I can honestly say Sara picked a dream team of vendors every bride hopes fo brought the magic (literally) with their patented “Dancing on a Cloud” first dance that took everyone’s breath away, the photo booth kept popping, and the caricature artist was such a hit! And I can’t end this without mentioning Mountain Top Films ! Absolute pros, so talented, and genuinely fun to work alongside. I’d recommend them to every couple in a heartbeat.

It was one of those weddings that reminded me why I love what I do . Where emotion and beauty meet storytelling, and every photo feels like forever. Having gotten to know Sara and Chris over the last few months, I can truly say that the day was spent in the presence of soulmates. 💍✨

✨ Blair & Jake - A magical love story in the woods ✨
(Stay till the very last picture, I promise you it is stunning!)

This wedding was a crisp fall day where the sun played peekaboo through the clouds, wrapping everything in that soft golden light that photographers dream about. Blair was the epitome of classic beauty! Her gown detailed and breathtaking, and I would say that nobody could take their eyes off of her.

Jake's wonderful mom deserves a medal (and maybe a vacation!) for raising that many boys! She’s a brave, beautiful soul who’s clearly loved beyond words.And the bridal party was equal parts fun, outrageous, and full of heart, just the kind of crew that keeps laughter echoing through the whole barn.

The Old Wooden Barn itself felt like something from an autumn fairytale, with warm wood, twinkle lights draped everywhere, and an earthy magic that fit Blair and Jake perfectly. Their hand-fasting ceremony was deeply personal and spiritual, and Blair walking down the aisle to Stevie Nicks and the Practical Magic soundtrack (my favorite of all time), it couldn’t have fit her better. Earthy. Romantic. A little witchy. Completely her.

There were moments of reflection too with quiet, powerful reminders of loved ones no longer earth-side, as Jake’s late father was among those honored throughout the day. His presence was woven into every smile, every touch, every spark of light.

As night fell, the barn glowed with twinkle lights shimmering, laughter spilling onto the dance floor, and the air rich with love and nostalgia. It was the kind of wedding that could’ve lasted two days and still not been long enough to capture all its beauty.

High school friends who found each other again later in life, proving that sometimes, love really does circle back when the time is right.

✨ Jennifer & Tyler | Silver Garden Event Center, Southfield MI ✨

Jennifer and Tyler’s day was one for the books . It was a perfect blend of heart, creativity, and a few unforgettable surprises! 💍

They officially tied the knot in Hawaii 🌺 and surprised their guests at the reception with their gorgeous and heart-warming wedding video before making their grand entrance. Oh yeah, cue the happy tears and cheers!

The Silver Garden Event Center made the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Its stunning stained-glass windows set the scene for romantic portraits, one of the reasons Jennifer chose this location. The incredible staff helped make the day run seamlessly from start to finish.

Jennifer poured her heart into every detail. There was hardly an item not touched with her love, from the florals and décor to the handmade ties, signage, and even the custom luggage tag seating chart (and yes, she designed it all!). It’s rare to see a bride’s vision come so beautifully to life, and a true reflection of the love and personality these two share.

Their bridal party brought the energy, laughter, and support all day long. This was the kind of joy that makes photographing a wedding feel like capturing a celebration of friendship as much as love.

This time, it's triple the pressure as I will be teaching THREE classes - from the basics for beginners new to flash, to advance multi-light sets with modifiers and gels. I am going ALL IN and teaching hands-on so attendees get to play as well!

🏆WPE Awards Europe announced it's 2nd half of 2025 results. 🎖

I am honored to have received third place in the Storytelling with Collages category for my portraits with the fun and colorful Roscoe Family!!! I've also received three Silvers and three Bronze awards. I have moved up to 14th place in the United States. 😁

There is one more round to go with fresh images to enter, and then they will announce the finals and the "Top 100 in the World in January".

She happened to sit in the best window light, his letter in hand, and the emotions hit all at once.

*The truth is, moments like this don’t just happen by chance. They happen because someone helped you slow down, sets the stage, and makes space in the timeline for you to truly feel.
