I got to celebrate the life of this beautiful lady this last weekend. My sweet Aunt Veda ❤️. I don’t really have words for how I’m feeling. She meant the world to me. I remember waiting on the front porch for her to pull in the driveway. I had to be the first to get that hug. She always brought things; Toys or clothes or treats. She would make rice crispy treats of every kind. Count Dracula Cocoa Puffs cereal made the absolute best crispy treats.

Once when I was little, I packed a suit case completely full of Barbie’s to go to a sleep over at her house. My mom must have packed real clothes because I definitely didn’t. We swam in her hot tub. We played with her dogs. Pure white, beautiful, some sort of fancy bread dogs. We sat on the front pew in church and then she taught my Sunday school class. She was the best teacher.
I was invited to bring things that reminded me of her for a display table and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Nothing I had seemed like it would make sense to anyone else. And I ended up just feeling bad for not bringing anything. But here is my list and I know it won’t make sense to any of you. Things that make me think of my Aunt Veda.
