This Fair Friday, we’re spotlighting the People’s Choice BBQ Competition at the CA State Fair! 🍖

This fan-favorite event is one of the Fair’s most unique and delicious competitions because Fairgoers are the judges. Purchase a scorecard, stroll through The Farm, sample ribs from each competitor, and cast your vote for the best BBQ.

🎡 Throwback Thursday!

This circa 1940 postcard features the entrance to the California State Fair’s Agriculture Building at the original Fairgrounds near Sacramento’s Oak Park neighborhood. The Fair was held at this location until late 1967, before moving to its current home at Cal Expo.

So much has changed over the years, but the tradition of celebrating California agriculture, community, and innovation continues.
