This is a gathering place for all those who love food and socializing. We meet monthly to sample a restaurant in the general Sacramento area, each time a different one. Signing up is FREE, you only pay a nominal amount included in the prices of the events when you participate. We do a variety of food related events, but the majority of them are dinners at local restaurants that may not be very wel

l known, but are fantastic. We set up a multi-course menu with a focus on sampling the variety of best dishes the particular restaurant has to offer. We do this either by dining family style, buffet style, or with sampler platters. Each event has a pre-determined price that generally includes at least 3 courses, a non-alcoholic drink, dessert, tax, tip and a small fee for the organizer. Most events range in price between $15-30 and are attended by an average of 20 people of approximate ages of 25-55. Occasionally we also do premium restaurants like The Kitchen, Supper Club, Ella’s, etc. We also do food themed events, like tea, coffee, chocolate or wine samplings, private cooking classes and occasionally private dinner events with local chefs.

Friends, we know it's been a long time between events. We hope to bring you another unique dining event in the future.

In the meantime, we recommend you check out the monthly chef's dinners at Zocalo Midtown. 3-4 courses with beverage pairings for around $30. While this is not an official Epicureans event, you just might see a familiar face or two.

Thank you to Tony and the staff at Banh Cuon Tay Ho for hosting Sacramento Epicureans as their first ever large party! It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and share another fabulous, noodle-filled meal with all of you. I know I (Sara) want to come back and try at least 4 different soups enjoyed tonight.

Happy Holidays from Sacramento Epicureans! We're sorry we've been quiet lately- between out of town travel and the nasty upper respiratory virus Sara caught in Cuba, we haven't been able to plan a December event.
