We had a BIG month here at BSE with our last two weddings of the month this weekend. Phew! The cooler weather is upon us and that means my FAVORITE season (isn’t Fall everyone’s favorite?! 😏) is officially here!

Every year around this time, I look forward to specific sights and smells that make me happy. A few things I’m looking forward to?

🍁 Our maple tree in the front yard changing color
🍗 Roasting a whole chicken! (Not that you can’t do it any other season, it just HITS different when the weather starts getting colder!)
☔️ (Hopefully) rainy weather — but only when I’m at home and not when we have weddings, please 😆
🔥 Turning on the fireplace and snuggling on the couch (during the slower months) watching Home Alone from October - January ☺️
☕️ Hot beverages in cute mugs any time of day

Happy Friday, friends! Can you believe it’s the last weekend of July?! 😭 I sure can’t! Our team is stepping into August (and around the corner from our busy Fall season! 🍁) with excitement and gratitude for our couples and community of vendor friends who’ve shown us WHY we love what we do! Sounds cliche but our *passion* really is what drives us!

It feels like our season just started when really we’re almost at the halfway mark…and what a ride it’s been so far.

The months have flown by, but I feel like I’m re-watching a slow-mo film of April through July. I can still feel the emotions and pinpoint specific days. 🥲 What a crazy few months! We’re excited to share this season’s moments with you (like this one from Cayley + Danny’s big day!) and hope you find inspiration and happiness in them the same way we have. 🥰

✨Place cards VS. Es**rt cards✨

They’re not quite the same! Place cards are a bit more formal in our opinion, while es**rt cards offer more of a casual approach.

✨ Place cards = used to show guests where their PLACE is at a table. Place cards are commonly used when it’s a plated dinner service (i.e when using an meal indicator …that’s another post on its own 😉). If you have a small enough guest count, some couples have opted to forego a seating chart (lets guests know what table they’re sitting at in a handy list format) although if you have more than 50+ guests, we highly recommend a chart so guests aren’t circling the reception area searching for their seats. 😅

✨ Es**rt cards = can be used as an alternative to a listed seating chart. Es**rt cards (you guessed it) ES**RT guests to their tables. We mentioned es**rt cards are less formal. Once guests find their table, they can choose their own seats if there are no place cards.

✨ Quick tip ✨ Don’t wait for all your RSVPs to come in before starting your seating chart. Start working on family + wedding party table assignments as soon as your invitations go out! It’ll take some of the stress off when it’s time to finalize seating and guest counts!
