The James Webb Space Telescope isn't just for looking into deep space, it also makes discoveries right here in our local solar system. Now we're bringing these discoveries to your local system. We are excited to announce that the Sac State Planetarium will be hosting TWELVE showings of our JWST One-year Anniversary shows in the month of August, and our ticket launch date is set for this Friday at noon. All ticket sales are handled through the Hornet Ticket Office. For generations, women have been pushing the boundaries of what we know in astronomy. As a member of the Event Horizon Telescope Team in 2016, American Engineer Katie Bouman created an algorithm known as CHIRP. With it, we were able to see the first ever image of a black hole from the center of the M87 Galaxy. Find out more about this history maker and other incredible women in astronomy during this month's brand new show, "Women in Astronomy."
