There’s so much excitement and anticipation leading up to this moment. You’ve been getting ready separately, wondering what the other person looks like, and probably feeling at least a little nervous.

Then you see each other. And just like that, all the nerves disappear! ❤️

It’s one of those little moments that ends up meaning way more than you expect.

Why pick the San Juan Mountains for your Colorado elopement?

If you’re looking at Colorado and trying to figure out where to elope, I’d put the San Juan Mountains near the top of the list! And yeah, I’m probably biased because I spend a huge chunk of my year down here, but there’s a reason why!

You’ve got 13,000 foot peaks, alpine lakes, waterfalls, old mining towns, Jeep roads, huge hiking trails, hot springs, and some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in Colorado. But what I really love is that it doesn’t feel like you’re standing in the middle of a tourist attraction. Once you get outside the main towns, it gets rugged and quiet pretty damn fast.

So if you’re looking for an epic area to elope in Colorado, start here!

Getting ready for your wedding at 4am sounds insane. Until you see the reason why.

You get the trails to yourself, cooler temps, better light, and a much better shot at beating those afternoon storms.

So yeah, we’re getting hair and makeup done before the sun comes up.

Worth it!
