Let’s talk Engagement sessions;
Are they necessary?? In my professional opinion absolutely yes. They allow you to get comfortable with your photographer and have time to perfect a few poses you’ll use on the wedding day. It also helps your photographer get to know you both as a couple and what you favorite angles/poses are for your big day. Pro tip: schedule your hair and make up trial the morning/afternoon of your engagement shoot to see how your glam holds up. make sure to have your stylist change a few things so it’s not the exact look as your wedding day so you still have that surprise for your fiancé.

I get asked all the time what I love most about being a wedding planner and my answer is my clients.

So here’s a little example of that.

This year has been so rewarding but it also was filled with challenges.

Weddings can have many challenges during the planning process and sometimes on the wedding day. However the pure love and joy that I get to witness will never get old. One of the best rewards I received this year was when I got to work with a couple that have been rooting for me as much as root for them. I first met Lindsey & Carlos back in 2022 at Lindsey Sister Sam’s Wedding. She was the best maid of honor & Carlos was her date who also captured some amazing behind the scenes moments of the wedding. I could tell they were so in love & had a feeling that one day soon they would be planning their own wedding. A little later that year I saw her again as a maid of honor in her Best Friend Sara’s Wedding. At that wedding Carlos came up to me and said that he was planning on asking Lindsey to marry him soon and that they will be next! I was so excited for them I could hardly contain myself, but had to still do a job and try not to look at Lindsey like I knew she was soon to be engaged to the love of her life.

Fast forward to January this year they are ENGAGED & reaching out to me to be their Fairy God Coordinator. To say I was honored was an understatement.

Watching their love grow then
getting to coordinate their wedding was one of the most rewarding and memorable experiences I’ve had.
On their wedding day, I got to celebrate their love that I’ve been cheering for as well as the friendly faces of two past couples that had both started growing their beautiful families.

Being surrounded by love and supported by amazing clients is more than I could ever ask for as a wedding professional.
