DataBaes Space Disco DJs DataBaes travel the galaxy mixing the best of disco, funk, house, and synthwave.

They specialize in Space Disco, one of the earliest forms of electro-disco to emerge from Europe in the late 70s to early 80s. Their sound consists of layers of oscillating synth, space-oriented sound effects, and a science fiction influence with an upbeat disco dance tempo. Influences include artists such as Giorgio Moroder, Cerrone, Sylvester (Patrick Cowley), etc. They love to celebrate the ori

gins of electronic dance music using Space Disco to create a unique atmospheric vibe. They update and enhance the sound with the style and fidelity of current dance music to create an out-of-this-world experience.

As the sun sets on our last day in Tokyo, we can’t help but look back on these past two weeks with so much love and gratitude. A city that once felt so far away and foreign now feels like a second home, thanks to all the amazing friends and connections we’ve made here over the past three years 🗼

Huge thank you to & for having us DJ, and to for giving us our very first gig there! The connections we’ve made in Japan are so genuine, something that feels rare these days, and we’re endlessly grateful for every single person who’s been part of this journey.

Another successful digging session in Shinjuku complete! ✅

Japan is our favorite place to go record digging, always finding hidden gems if you put in the time and effort. This year was no different. From finding a Swiss space disco record we’ve been after for years hidden in the back corner of a jazz vinyl store to rare 45”disco-bangers for ¥100 each. Tokyo never fails to amaze us and keep us coming back for more! Thank you Japan for another epic dig 🎌
