Another amazing year! I am unsure what to say… we welcomed so many people to the fair. Overwhelming positivity is what we are hearing over and over again. Even with the heat and high humidity, you came out to join us! Thank you for coming, thank you for your support, thank you for giving us a chance at entertaining you and your family. Thank you to the workers, vendors, volunteers, acts, departments, sponsors, board members, directors and so many more who make the fair happen year after year. This year was nothing short of extraordinary with so many people’s hard work paying off. So much was accomplished with nearly $10,000 worth of bikes being given away, and many departments reported entries being up, some as high as doubling in number. We again heard rave reviews about the Diamonds And More ribbons and the passport program for children, and we will look forward to expanding it even more next year. We also thank The Paramount Theatre for helping us to expand what entertainment we are bringing to the main stage and an amazing night with Oliver Anthony. Though not a record breaking year, we made so much progress in many areas and look forward to continuing our grounds improvements and growth of all departments, including Fish and Game. This year we also expanded our competitions by having a concessionaire competiton judged by individuals brought in from outside of our organization. Congratulations to the winners who were: 1st place Smittys, 2nd place Granny’s Place, 3rd place Loaded Totz, President’s Choice Award went to Msj Green Wave Cafe, who scored some serious fair swag. Keep up the hard work! I would also be remiss to not mention my wife Heidi Congdon and her team that issued more vendor contracts than the fair has had in years, the grounds are getting fuller and fuller! Now we are on to planning our 180th Vermont State Fair August 18-22, 2026. Thank you to the RCAS society for their support and the privilege of serving as the President and Manager of the Vermont State Fair.
