It is with heavy hearts that we are sad to share with you all that on Thursday, August 10, 2017, the events industry lost a great friend and colleague. Wendy Leigh Pearce passed away with her family and friends surrounding her in great comfort, love and support.



Leigh began her professional journey in 2009, establishing what became her life’s passion: Leigh Pearce Weddings, which later became Leigh Pearce Events. Through this endeavor, Leigh brought joy, beauty and life-long happiness to so many brides and their families. As Leigh poured her heart and soul into her business, she was impacted, inspired and encouraged by her fellow colleagues. This constant support allowed her to reach well beyond the Triad and serve more than just brides on their special day, but anyone who loved a good party. Leigh was so much to so many, and although we as her team cannot fully express the loss we all have experienced, rest assured we will try and honor her in the best way possible.



We want to thank you all for your friendships, incredible experiences and love you have given to Leigh as well as to us and her family. Please join us for a celebration of her life on Wednesday, August the 16th at 6pm at the Canterbury School in Greensboro, North Carolina. Please also join us immediately after and help us toast our beloved friend as we reminisce and rosé together.



For those of you unable to join us for her celebration, we will share other ways to honor her legacy within the coming weeks.



As the late Lilly Pulitzer once said, “Style isn’t just about what you wear, it’s about how you live.” Not only was this Leigh’s personal mantra, but by simply being herself, she was one of the most incredible women we’ve ever known.
