Today we honor the men and women who have gave everything to serve our country. 🇺🇸 🫡

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Back Story 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

This is my Grandpa Robert Lee Julius born December 15,1919 in Ruleville Mississippi.
At the age of 21 he enlisted in the US Navy on July 1,1941 and was assigned to the Seabees were he served in WWll. At the time he Enlisted he was married to my grandma Cleo Marie Lite Julius they had 8 or 9 kids together that I cant remember everyone right now lol then he had 3 or 4 more with his 2nd wife Barbara and then adopted some along the way. He was a truck driver by trade I guess that’s where by dad got it from lol.

He Passed away December 19,1983 that was 1 yr and 12 days before I was born so I never got the opportunity to meet him 😔 but what I do know is that he was a great man with a huge heart he loved his kids and grand kids that he did get to know. Although he didn’t pass is service he did pass at home here in Dallas,TX and he is now resting in Mesquite, TX just a few steps away from my dad where they are together again.

Thank you grandpa for the service and sacrifices that you made for this country. We will get to finally meet one day but until then I will continue to honor you and place flowers for you the same way I do for my dad.
