A simple, clean portrait taken indoors using a thoughtful two-light setup.
On camera left, slightly behind the groom, I placed a flash with a CTB gel and magmod maggrid to add a subtle cool rim light and separation.
Overhead, a second flash with a CTO gel with magmod maggrid brought a gentle warmth and balance to the scene.
Nothing too complex — just a quiet moment with a touch of color contrast to bring out the connection between the couple.

Middle of the afternoon shoots can be tricky on hot days with harsh natural light. I wanted to experiment with creating a night time effect.
I used the Reflector XL with a CTO gel. To create a more dramatic night time effect, I simulated light coming through the windows in Photoshop. The sun was behind the couple, so I adjusted my white balance to 3200K to enhance the overall mood.

Flash vs natural light.
The first photo I used a big Magbox Pro 42 with flash Godox AD300 and the sun was behind the couple. The second photo I used natural light from the sun, making the couple close their eyes. Which photo do you prefer?

Hello everyone
This is one of my favorite shots. I created it after I watched a video by Neil Redfern where he used a Magmod grid on the flash. I just added a CTO gel and changed my w/b in my camera settings to make a more dramatic image. Thank you Neil for the inspiration!

Good afternoon :)
I had the pleasure of shooting this beautiful wedding. The couple are Greek so their wedding was steeped in tradition. They were also very easy going and great to work with.
For this image I used Magmod 24 inch softbox and backlight with Magmod Grid with CTB filter.
