Our Story

Hello, my name is Jennifer Williams and I am the owner/creative designer of Unique Occasions & Gifts. I was raised in the beautiful green city of Seattle, Washington. I graduate from Seattle Vocational Institute in 1994 and then continued to take classes at Renton Technical Institute . I’ve been working towards my bachelors in Business from University of Phoenix. While attending Seattle Vocational Institute I received my certifications in Fashion Merchandising, and my Associates in Accounting.

What makes me the designer for your event or special crafted gift is my background in Arts, Designing and Crafting. My mother, a Louisiana native, taught me how to sketch, use colors and combine items that worked well together. She was a talented artist and knew how to market her crafts.

In the world of Wedding Planning and Designing, I started over twenty years ago in a small town called Giddings, Texas. I had the privilege to work for a wonderful lady name Mrs. Francis. Mrs. Francis Wedding Planning Services coordinated the planning, designing and catering. Back in 1986 she was showing me how to add floral floats to swimming pools, glitzing centerpieces, spreading tulle, florals and draping across every inch of the ceremony and reception sites. Her husband made the best brisket and parsley potato's.

After I left Texas in 1988, I moved back to Seattle, but never lost my passion for creating events. I started off small with birthday parties and then when I entered the corporate work force I started planning corporate and social events. I’ve done retirement celebrations, milestone anniversary events, family reunions, hair shows, casino parties, boat parties networking meetups, romantic meetups and family reunions.
