This offering for the iXã project has been brewing…
I’m honored to be a part and be held in sweet water as it unfolds. We closed Envision with this prayer and continue the works forward.

Araw ng maga patay
Literally translates as ‘Day of the Dead’ in tagalog. Today is the first day of Undas and tomorrow is the ‘All souls day’ of the Philippines. While the influence of colonizers has changed plenty... the tradition of Undas being ‘family reunion’ time with our ancestors and time to dress as spirits and visit each other’s houses for treats less they steal your chickens is older then the western holiday.
I can’t make a trek to my ancestors graves but...Tonight I am with family through these veils.
