As a family-owned vineyard, Rough & Ready Vineyards operates on 16 acres in Nevada County, in Northern California. In recent years, as couples began looking for barn wedding venues, we started to become a popular outdoor wedding site for rustic styled celebrations, complete with mason jars and shabby chic décor. As we have grown, we have welcomed all types of brides from the West Coast after they
experience the beauty of the Sierra Nevada Foothills. With the towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City just minutes away, all the amenities you need are nearby. With the addition of onsite lodging available, we’ve also become a popular site for destination weddings. Our staff would be happy to give you a free tour, sharing the property and all it has to offer. We strive to ensure each wedding day runs smoothly and all the details are taken care of, so you can simply relax and celebrate the start of your lives together! Our private estate on 16 acres is home to three varieties of wine grapes, our organic family garden, and a variety of fruit trees. With a seasonal creek and heritage oaks, our staff works hard to ensure it is a beautiful place to gather and relax. Our guesthouse is a red and white barn style home, with all of the living space on the second floor. It has some interesting features, including a beauty salon (complete with sink and chair!) and plenty of room to spread out. Our property often serves as an outdoor vineyard wedding venue. Our wedding packages include an onsite host for the day of your celebration to ensure things run smoothly. We have onsite parking, ADA access, bathroom facilities and more. It is not required that couples rent the guesthouse for their wedding. As you travel down our lane, our rustic barn-style guesthouse will come into view. With four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a sunroom and huge greatroom, it can sleep 16 people. It is the perfect location to bring your family and friends together. The grounds on our private 16 acre estate are breathtaking, offering a variety of choices for walks, taking photos, or gathering together. We have an Italian marble gazebo, pastures featuring heritage oaks, the vineyard, and a secret forest. Our Wish For You...
Nevada County is our home, and we love our beautiful wedding venue in Rough & Ready. In fact, we began our lives together here too! Our ceremony was an intimate wedding with a family dinner at the same rustic farm table many couples choose as their head table that my husband and son made. It was a day we remember fondly, as we gathered with those we love most to begin a new chapter together.
