Planning a maternity shoot? YAY! This is such a special time, and I want you to feel absolutely gorgeous, glowing, and relaxed. Here are my top tips to help you prep like a pro and enjoy every single second. 💕
🌟 When’s the Best Time to Schedule?
The golden window is between 28 and 34 weeks.
Your bump is beautifully round, you’re still comfortable enough to move around, and your energy hasn’t completely dipped yet (hopefully 😉). It’s the perfect time to celebrate your journey into motherhood!
🌸 How to Prepare for Your Maternity Photoshoot 🌸
1. Choose Outfits That Make You Feel Beautiful
Flowy gowns, fitted dresses, and soft, romantic fabrics look amazing on camera.
Think neutrals, pastels, earth tones, or soft prints — they photograph like a dream during golden hour. ✨
Want options? Bring 1-2 looks so you can switch it up!
2. Go Pro with Hair & Makeup (If You’d Like!)
A little extra glam can make you feel like a goddess. Glowy skin, soft curls, and lashes pop beautifully in photos.
Or keep it natural! What matters most is that you feel confident and radiant
3. Hydrate + Rest = Glow Up
Drink lots of water and get a good night’s sleep before your shoot. Your skin (and mood!) will thank you. 💧💤
4. Bring the Bump Goodies
Comfy walking shoes (for getting to the location)
Touch-up powder or lip gloss
A bottle of water
Any props you’d like — tiny baby shoes, ultrasound photos, a name sign, or a favorite stuffed animal 🧸
5. Include Your Partner or Kiddos (Optional but Adorable!)
Some of the sweetest moments are shared — belly kisses, family cuddles, and heartfelt smiles.
You don’t have to plan it all — I’ll guide you with natural, loving poses that feel just like you.
