Today I want to share with you a throw back event. This was my very first event planning and coordination way back in 2003...the 18th birthday of my cousin. I remember how I was belittled by the caterer and decorator that my auntie and uncle hired for the event when we were preparing for the venue. This CITY gal gave me a head to toe stare when I was giving her?/him? instructions on the set up. Maybe she was thinking, who is she and what does this PROVINCIAL girl know? She was very hesitant to follow my instructions. I just ignored her did my job. At the end of the party, this caterer/ decorator approached me, congratulated me and told me that the event was the best and the most organized party he'd ever attended. And from there, I gained her respect. Up to now, I'm still grateful for the trust and faith that my uncle Vic and auntie Lita gave me to make their only daughter's big event a memorable one. This commenced my drive and passion to event planning.
