BUCK THE BOX STORES.

Get off the couch. Shop local. Drive Illinois or Wisconsin. Support the small & unique businesses on the Vintage Shop Hop!

Friday & Saturday | October 2 & 3

Part of the fun in shopping this two day, self-guided road trip is not only choosing which of the 300 shops you'll visit, but where! In addition to brick & mortar storefronts on Main Streets, downtown districts, and country highways, you'll enjoy shopping some pretty unique and historical buildings!

Maybe the shop was once a Studebaker garage. A general store. A century old barn. A stately home. A butcher shop. A mill.

October 2 & 3...shop the 300 Illinois and Wisconsin vintage shops, antique malls, ladies boutiques, home decor and upscale consignment with a few barn sales thrown in! All shop owners are rolling out the red carpet for you with door prizes, games, demos, meet-the-maker, treats and more!

Where will you shop hop?

RIGHT?

Hey... Instagram developer team...Why can't you just give us what we already follow? Over the years I have followed amazing pages that no longer come into my feed. What's the point of following if you're're not going to put them in my feed? What's the gig?

SAVE THE WORLD. DECORATE WITH ESTATE FINDS.

At the lake last weekend a friend told me about a good estate sale...on a farm! Two barns and garage filled with fun stuff. Here's my haul and how I styled it. I forgot to take a picture of the coral velvet chair...which I found literally 'on the roadside' two weeks ago. Free is the best kind of secondhand. It now sits at the head of the dining room table.

A vintage lovers montra should always be..."it doesn't matter if I don't have a place for it...I'm getting it anyway".
