Lawrence Plantation at Horseleg Creek can seat over 200 wedding guests in its main banquet hall, additional seating in the "pub", and more on the easily accessible covered back porch. There's plenty of room at its' outdoor event spaces for a large or inimate ceremony and reception. Couples have several ceremony and reception locations to choose from on this large estate, such as an outdoor ceremony down the hill in the flats, at the pond, or an upscale ceremony near the plantation home, which offers a breathtakingly beautiful backdrop. Lawrence Plantation has a large indoor space for your ceremony, so there is always a back-up plan! The venue’s covered back porch is the ideal space for an intimate cocktail hour with its rocking chairs and ceiling fans. Inside Lawrence Plantation at Horseleg Creek, couples will find a large banquet hall with gorgeous chandeliers and a gas fireplace, as well as a “pub,” which features a grand wooden bar. The venue’s glass doors and windows will allow you and your guests the chance to see all the beauty the outdoor areas of the venue have to offer while inside. Meanwhile, Lawrence Plantation at Horseleg Creek’s bridal suite comes with three restrooms, two showers and plenty of comfortable furniture, allowing each bride and her bridesmaids the ability to relax in style before that enchanting walk down the aisle.
In addition to our beautiful event venue for weddings, class reunions, holiday parties, school dances and more, Lawrence Plantation is also Rome’s family club! Offering an awesome swimming pool for families to enjoy between May and October each year. We also offer 5 outdoor and 3 covered tennis courts complete with lessons, drills, memberships and open play! For walkers and bikers, our members can enjoy our old golf cart trails to exercise and explore nature! Down the hill from our event venue is a wonderful gym ran by Chad Reid and Impact Athletic Performance. There really is something for everyone at Lawrence Plantation!
