Chance is a 12–13-year-old gaited Paint gelding, 14 hands high. He’s athletic, forward, and intelligent, with more “go” than “whoa,” and is best suited for a confident, experienced rider—not a beginner.
I’ve owned him for 3 years as his primary rider. He hasn’t been ridden by many people, so he’ll do best with someone who can provide consistent leadership and continue his development.
Chance has been used to move cattle and is quick, responsive, and willing across fields, creeks, and steep terrain. He rides alone or in groups, handles trails, water, logs, and varied terrain well, and prefers having a job. He has a natural, smooth gait when allowed to move forward.
He’s had a lighter winter and is currently out of shape, but does best with consistent work, where he becomes more focused and settled.
He lives outside full-time, is an easy keeper, barefoot, sound, and up to date on care (recent trim, vaccines, and float). On the ground, he’s affectionate and generally well-mannered—leads, loads, ties, bathes, and stands for vet and farrier. He can be harder to catch in a large pasture if not in regular work, but improves with routine.
Best suited for a trainer, ranch rider, or confident teen/adult seeking an athletic project.
Selling due to limited time and wanting him in a consistent program.

Located in New Albany, Studio Saxe is dedicated to making a variety of handcrafted gifts, including macrame, crochet, needle crafts, resin, and stained glass. I love experimenting with different techniques and mediums, focusing on creating beautiful quality pieces. While I am currently only able to create part-time, I’m looking forward to the day I can devote more time to the studio.
