We do desserts too. Chef G. prefers to cook savory over sweet, but when she does sweets, she does them big. This is the first chocoflan she has ever made and it was devoured in minutes it was so good. 🤤

It’s Fernando’s birthday so tonight instead of going out, he requested I cook. Here is what I made. Not pictured, because it’s still cooling: Chocoflan.

🥩 Citrus & Herb Marinated Strip Steak-
Strip steak marinated in fresh orange and lime juices with dried Mexican chiles and herbs, seasoned with Mexican oregano, sea salt, and cracked pepper right before searing, and finished in a house-made compound butter infused with roasted garlic and herbs.
🍚 Arroz Verde-
Jasmine rice infused with roasted poblano, cilantro, and lime.
🥔 Roasted Baby Potatoes with Cotija & Herbs-
Baby potatoes tossed in avocado oil with Mexican oregano, cumin, sea salt, and cracked pepper, oven roasted and finished with cotija cheese.
🍅Calabacitas a la Mexicana-
Zucchini squash (the store I was at, was sold out of calabacita) sautéed with corn, onion, tomato, and cilantro, and finished with queso fresco.

After being down and out of work for the last 2 weeks dealing with issues with my heart, I am finally back in the kitchen!! It feels so good to be back!! I still have some limitations, and I have to see a cardiologist now, but I’m so happy to be back at it. Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out, prayed for us, and showed us so much love and support. We have seen everyone’s comments and messages. It means so much to me and my family. I really appreciate all of your love and kindness so much. I can’t wait to get back to sharing what I’m cooking up and bringing to the table.

To our customers,

We want to apologize for the delayed orders this week. This season has not been kind to us. We feel it is important to be transparent. Our son Luka is autistic. We had an emergency with our son that affected our orders on Tuesday. Due to the stress of that situation and still trying to make sure all orders were out, during deliveries my wife, our co-owner and chef Sara had a cardiac event that had her taken to the ER via ambulance. Our delivery drivers tried their best to still get orders out in a timely manner and even take orders from us so we could get her the emergency medical help she needed and still get everyone’s orders out. It breaks our hearts knowing we let so many of you down. We promise that this won’t happen again. And we would love for you all to give us another chance. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and enjoys their orders. Please pray for Sara, she will be ok, but she isn’t doing so great right now.
