Hey y'all!
More of a personal post--and honestly, a bit of a downer--than usual, but wanted to share with you that Cozy Home Meals will be taking a strategic step back from accepting larger, more intricate, and physically demanding events like weddings for the foreseeable future. CW: general health issues.
I'm grateful for the wonderful medical team at KUMC, the excellent advice of my counselor, and for the bottomless support of my friends and family, but I have been battling some frustrating, recurrent, and draining health complications since mid-summer. I'm mostly fine, haha, but the issues just haven't responded as well as we would like to treatment, and have steadily eaten into my ability to grow Cozy Home Meals and to deepen our community connections.
However! I am hoping that scaling back these larger events--these larger sources of physical and emotional stress--will make getting my health back to 100% a little bit easier, and that I will be better able to focus the time and energy I do have into the smaller, more intimate side of our business while I heal.
On that note, the good news is that Cozy Home Meals will still be offering our weekly frozen meals and snacks via Market Wagon, and that we should still be able to commit to the smaller, more intimate lunches and low-key pop-ups that were our original bread-and-butter.
While I'm disappointed to have had to make the difficult decision to table what I had hoped would be a next, big step for our small business, I am grateful to still be able to meet these commitments with the level of quality, energy, and care I demand of myself/my business. I am grateful to be able to step back (at least for a while) from the parts that aren't currently right for us, in order to allow my physical and mental health to recover. And most of all, I am truly grateful for everyone's patience, support, and kindness to both me and to Cozy Home Meals.
Thank you, and Stay Cozy.
