It is with a heavy heart that I announce The Machaven will be closing as of December 31, 2023. We have had some really fun and exciting events during this phase of The Machaven. This was a dream of mine to open a venue and for the venue to have the character and charm of The Machaven. I did it! Although it was short lived, we did the best we could. It takes a calendar full of events to stay open and unfortunately the number of bookings was not enough to sustain our budget.

Today we remember those who lost their lives and loved ones after the attack on September 11, 2001. We remember where we were when the world stopped turning on that day. We remember the love and kindness that Americans were showing one another. We remember.

We would like to introduce you to Meredith Davis, our Venue Manager and owner of Machaven Events, LLC. She has been in the event business for approximately 5 years, planning over 70 weddings in those short years. Meredith is a Rocky Mount native and has many ties to her hometown. We are so excited to have her experience and excitement here. She has had a vision for what The Machaven can mean to Rocky Mount and the surrounding counties for quite some time and it is all now coming to life.
Meredith said, "As a little girl, I would ride by The Machaven and dream of what glamorous parties and socials must be taking place in such a beautiful, prestigious home. To now be a part of the social events held here is definitely a dream come true!"
Meredith is married and has two teenage children. She enjoys spending time with her family and many, many friends. Her favorite part of her job is the lasting friendships created by being a part of each client's celebration.
