Studio252 Our black-owned dance studio provides a transformative platform for youth of color to feel safe, seen, supported, and celebrated!

Studio252 seeks to share the beauty of dance with dancers in North Carolina. Through classes, camps and workshops, we hope to inspire future dancers and choreographers by exposing them to various styles of dance while building self-esteem.

What an incredible start to our Leadership Series in partnership with I AM GIRL! 💜

Today, our girls gathered for our first session centered around Identity & Purpose—creating space to explore who they are, recognize what makes them unique, and think intentionally about the purpose they carry.

And we’re just getting started!

Our next Leadership Series session is October 25, and we’re talking Confidence & Etiquette. From how we carry ourselves to how we communicate and show up in different spaces, we want our girls to understand that confidence isn’t about being the loudest in the room—it’s about knowing who you are when you walk into it.

These sessions are FREE and open to ALL girls in grades 3–12! You do not have to be a Studio252 dancer to participate. Registration is requested so we can adequately prepare for every girl joining us.

💜🩵 WHO’S GOT OUR BACK?! 🩵💜

Competition season is officially underway at Studio252, and our dancers are putting in WORK! 🔥

This season, we’re launching our “Who’s Got Our Back?” fundraiser to help our dancers offset the costs that come with competition dance—costumes, competition fees, travel, training, and everything in between.

And we’re inviting YOU to become part of their village! 🥹

For $30, you can sponsor a spot on your favorite dancer’s 252 shirt. Your name will literally be on their back as they wear their shirt to rehearsals and studio events throughout the season.

Because at Studio252, we know our dancers don’t make it to the stage alone. It takes a VILLAGE. 💜

Over the next few weeks, you may see our dancers and their families sharing their individual “Who’s Got My Back?” campaigns. When you see your favorite dancer pop up, claim your spot and show her that you’ve got her back! 🙌🏽

Every sponsorship goes directly toward supporting that dancer’s competition season.
