Something sent to me as a Wedding Planner for professional advice …

“ My daughter is in wedding and the bride has made is clear she wants the shower in a venue and catered. In addition she wants a destination Bachelorette party that is well over the 1k with airbnb and spa trip and other activities. The wedding is costing her upwards of 2k or maybe a little more..is this normal ? How can you set boundaries without hurting the bride. The mother of the bride is not paying for the shower at all.”

“ If someone's expectations are unrealistic, you don't have to burst the brides bubble but you can say "this is not a reflection of my love for you - you mean the world to me as does the invitation to be a bridesmaid. I have to be honest - I can't afford this so if there's an option, I'd still love to be a guest for your wedding."
👉And THAT my friends is the most graceful answer I can give to someone so out of touch with reality, selfish and self absorbed!!! 🤨😫😘
