I wanted to pass along this wonderful email that our customer from two weeks ago posted to her food allergy forum. Thanks so much Mrs. Mortman for the kind words!
Hi all.
I wanted to share with you a success story.
I've spent a good part of the last year planning my DDs Bat Mitzvah. She is allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, and salmon.
Of all the tasks I faced - the one which caused most stress was the food.
I am in the same boat as many of you. Because of the severity of my daughter's allergies, we don't eat out often. When we do - there is a lot of stress involved over whether she can safely eat the food. Even when restaurants say they can accommodate her - she often leaves sick. Quite frankly, it's not worth the risk to any of us.
She had been to 11 Bat Mitzvahs this year before her own. She ate nothing at any of them.
I desperately wanted her to be able to eat everything at her Bat Mitzvah.
I called around multiple caterers. By their answers to my questions, I knew they just didn't get it. Then I called Dianne Lucks. She got it. She and her staff went above and beyond to make things safe for my daughter.
My daughter ate food at her Bat Mitzvah. The first time she could enjoy a party without worries this season. And it was terrific.
To make matters even better - all of my non-FA guests loved the food as much as we did.
I cannot recommend Lucks highly enough.
I am passing along their information. Also, feel free to e-mail me if you have questions or want more information.
