Two weeks and counting until "Saints & Patriots" at the WIHS 104.9 FM Amphitheater in Middletown, CT on Saturday, July 25 from 5-7 pm featuring a mix of inspirational and patriotic speakers, singers and instrumentalists.

Former Jacob's Well Christian Coffeehouse Founder & Director Drew Crandall will be dressing up as a 1700s-era preacher. His speech will be based on a gospel message by famous Great Awakening evangelist George Whitefield named "On Regeneration."

George was the Billy Graham of his day, who preached across New England and beyond. He even preached in Middletown in October of 1740 to a crowd of about 4,000 souls!

Our last Jacob's Well was in July of 2025 after 30 years, BUT we're keeping our page and our email database "live" to help to promote other local Christian concerts and events.

Last night's outdoor worship service at Hyde Park in downtown Stafford Springs led by Dave Pettigrew was beautiful! Incredible weather, good turnout, and anointed worship. Thanks to all involved!

So participants didn't have to deal with the sun, Dave Pettigrew inverted the stage and actually faced the "back" of the stage where there was more shade. I've been to several events at Hyde Park, and it was fascinating to discover that the stage is "reversible!" It really wasn't designed that way, but it works!

The next outdoor event on the radar screen is "Saints & Patriots" at the WIHS 104.9 FM Christian Radio Amphitheater, 1933 South Main Street in Middletown, CT. 41 years ago today, on June 8, 1985, Jacob's Well Christian Coffeehouse Founder/Director Drew Crandall was "born again" during a Christian business breakfast held inside the Jonathan Edwards meeting room at the Ramada Inn off I-91 in East Windsor.
"I walked into the room one person," he says, "and walked out a New Creation in Christ Jesus. Praise God for His Amazing Grace!"

For 30 years (1985-2025), every time Jacob's Well was held, Drew shared a simple Gospel message and invitation. Over the decades, hundreds of souls placed their first-time faith in Christ for the forgiveness of their sins and the free gift of eternal life in heaven. Many more souls recommitted their lives to Christ.

On Friday, May 1, Northeast Christians At Work (a regional workplace ministry led by long-time coffeehouse director Drew Crandall) is participating in the 2nd annual Global Day of Faith at Work. Over 100 global partners in workplace ministry are part of this movement to worship the Lord through our everyday work lives.

Jacob's Well may no longer operate, but mark your calendars for the second live outdoor concert at the WIHS 104.9 FM Amphitheater on Saturday, July 25 (rain date Sunday, July 26) from 5-7 pm. We will feature "Saints & Patriots," a mix of Christian speakers and artists to celebrate America's 250th and the awesome Christian legacy we have here in Connecticut.
