Ten years ago today, I had the honor of planning the very first wedding ever hosted at the historic Tobin Center in San Antonio. Millie and her mom were one of the sweetest mother-daughter duos I’ve ever had the joy to work with, and together we created such a beautiful day.

Today, Millie and Luke celebrate 10 years of marriage — childhood sweethearts with a love story that continues to inspire. What a privilege it was to be part of the beginning of their forever.

Valentin Beach Wedding Pro Tip 💫

The beach at Valentin is stunning—one of my favorite ceremony spots!

But… the pathway to get there can be tricky to walk on in anything other than bare feet 👣or flip-flops 🩴. I’ve walked it many times during site visits, and trust me—it’s a challenging walk...

That’s why, when I’m working with couples getting married on the beach at Valentin, we always line the pathway with mats to make the walk more comfortable for guests.

From there, couples have a few fun options:

💫Continue the mats up the aisle and altar area
💫Upgrade to a wooden walkway for a more structured feel
💫Or, go bold like one of my past couples who used an all-white aisle — it looked incredible with her formal black-and-white dress code!

This can make a big difference for your guests and elevate the whole look of your ceremony. 🌴💍
