I’m not going to lie, this is kind of sad to post. But now that I’m making it, I feel like I can breathe again for a short period of time.
When I started this group, I never expected it to become what it has. I never thought I’d be planning out so many events for so many strangers. I never thought I’d make so many friends. I grew up in the area and I’ve been more connected to Rockford in the last two years than ever. I’m so thankful for the connections it’s brought me & the people I’ve come to know and love.
That’s why I’m excited to slow down a bit on our events. I want to be able to show up more for other people and not just hope they show up for me. Frankly, I’m tired of my friends having to pay to see me because my calendar is too booked otherwise.
I want to volunteer for their non-profits, celebrate them at their husbands award ceremony, be their last minute childcare for an emergency, and bring them a homemade meal when they’re feeling sick. Back to back events don’t allow for this kind of community.
I’m ready to deepen the relationships we’ve worked so hard on building- focus on the She Hive Social Club, organize some smaller free or last minute gatherings, host 1-2 meaningful events a month, and give more space for our members to connect on their own without feeling like they’re missing out on something.
💖 THANK YOU to everyone that has been so supportive during this transitional time. I’m ready to see what this new chapter holds. If you are interested in being a moderator for She Hive 815, please keep an eye on our page. I’ll be posting an application in the next couple of days.
🚫 For our Sunday Reset & Succulent Arranging events, refunds are being sent out as we speak. I hope that I can still see you all at the rescheduled date for Sunday Reset and at our Summer Spread as well! 💛
With so much love, Tori
