After much consideration & assessing of being a small business in today's retail climate, we have decided to retire from the floral industry & close our business.

Our Story

Rockford Flower Shop opened in 1952 & has been providing magnificent flower arrangements to the community ever since. In 1975 David & Linda Ruehs took ownership of the popular flower shop with the blessing of the original owners Ray & Thelma Kunst. David began his long career with flowers at just 14 years old, working for his neighborhood florist just down the block from where he lived. In 1996 David & Linda’s daughter Trissa joined Rockford Flower Shop as an apprentice to learn all aspects of the family business. Her parents passed on all the knowledge they had gained over the years & fully prepared Trissa to succeed in her new role as owner of Rockford Flower Shop. The Ruehs’s retired in 2016 & today Trissa carries on the family tradition. Rockford Flower Shop has become a trusted business staple in downtown Rockford. We strive to carry new and unique flowers that amaze our customers and keep them coming back. We prioritize creating artistic and imaginative designs that turn our arrangements into more than the sum of their parts. We enjoy incorporating themes, textures, and accents inspired by nature into our arrangements to make each creation one of a kind. Our staff is friendly, helpful, and conscientious. Our goal is to ensure that our customers always leave happy :) We love what we do & are dedicated to delivering to each and every one of our customers, lovely feelings and memories, in the form of flowers.
