Our 2023 headliner -- U.S. Navy TOPGUN instructor LCDR Michael Andrews -- perhaps said it best during the inaugural DIAMONDS.

"It is truly astonishing the abnormally high level of talent that this area produces compared to the rest of the country — and it is profession agnostic."

LCDR Andrews was of course referring to his hometown region of Rockford, Illinois, where excellence and ingenuity has transcended genres and generations since 1834.

There are many more stories to celebrate and even more work that needs to be done -- reason enough to keep doing what we're doing at Plus Seven Company, LLC, and Founders Commission (501(c)(3)). ❤

We're off to a great start! The fifth annual 815HORTS Film Festival is well on its way toward breaking a record for film submissions. Our Early Submission deadline is two weeks from today -- Animated, Documentary and Live Action short films are welcome, and Illinois students can also submit for the Illinois Film Office Shortcuts Contest. What a night, Rockford! The 5th Annual Rockford Boxing Classic delivered another incredible evening of competition and community, featuring 16 bouts, boxers from four states and nearly 1,000 fans filling Rockford City Market.

Thank you to every boxer, coach, volunteer, sponsor and fan who helped make this year another memorable experience. We’ll see you again in 2027!

Local boxers Julian Lugo and Angel Martinez of Rockford Patriots Boxing Club won tonight's main events in the Rockford Boxing Classic at the City Market Pavilion. Both won by unanimous decisions.
