I am SO unbelievably excited to get my hands on all our new dahlias blooming and design a statement arrangement with you all for the upcoming Jennifer Gulizia | Oregon Cut Flower Farm & Garden Educator Dahlia Design Summit!

I’ll be whipping up a big, juicy, dahlia filled flower arrangement, talking through color, my design process, mechanics, and more. The only thing I can’t seem to decide on is my focal colors, any preferences??!

Milk breaks on the farm, amiright?
I haven’t posted as much this year because of this fuzzy nugget and the real time juggle. What I’ve realized is something has to give. I don’t want it to be attention to detail, attention to our farm or our couples, space for creativity, time spent not working. So the short stick has fallen here, on the socials. Some days it feels sad to not have the gusto to share with you all every amazing stem we have grown. But hey, we are all just doing our best, myself included. Fun things ahead!

For Annie this past weekend. The girl who said tangerine orange meets red was her #1 color. Only in the past few years have I begun growing orange flowers outside of the autumn. It’s nice to see the wedding world spreading its wings and loosening up a bit. Color can be so stunning, so surprising. Bold colors doesn’t mean less romantic, less formal, or less wedding-y. My advice is to always just lean into what you love when it comes to flowers and let the season lead.
Flowers include Terracotta Yarrow, Golden Marguerite, Orange Ranunculus, Zinnias, and the last of the orange poppies. Garlic Scapes for added funk ✨

Over the years we’ve been known for a few standout crops, foxglove being one of them. This year’s crop is one of the best I’ve seen in a few years, shout out to our farm team for giving it loads of TLC. Look at those babies!!!
