To make this banner for our sweetheart table we had to buy two sets of it because it only came as Mr. & Mrs. While this may seem small and an easy fix to just buy 2 sets, it was just another reminder through our wedding planning the that our love and soon to be marriage wasnβt seen as equal or taken into consideration. It is so much more than just a sign. Itβs a historical reminder that itβs only been 11 years since we could legally get married in the U.S. as two females. That still today, so many vendors refuse to celebrate our love just because of who we are. Itβs moments like this that remind me why we started CelebrateYOU events, to make sure that all couples truly feel seen for as their authentic selves and their authentic love story is represented in their planning journey and on their wedding day.
