Tame the Flame BBQ BBQ Competition Team This adventure started with a little propane smoker my parents got me for Christmas a while back.

After posting a picture of something i was making on twitter, Masterbuilt (smoker and fryer makers) messaged me back and suggested I enter their March Madness contest. So i entered the nation competition with my pork rib recipe. To advance you had to be voted through by the public, in which I made it to the final. Once that was achieved the company and the CEO of Masterbuilt actually made the top

two recipes and voted on them. I was declared the winner by phone by the CEO! Since then, I've cooked for small parties and family. I love the process of BBQ to find just the right flavor. I love reading and studying the art of smoking and barbecuing. Most importantly, i love serving people great flavored food that makes them happy. A smile, a raised eyebrow in delight or just a friendly nod is all i need to make my day complete. I'm extremely excited to take this to the next level and provide my clients with some great food "rubbed" with some extra TLC.

Finally unpacked (sort of) from the KCBS World invitational BBQ

It was a rainy rollercoaster from load in on, but we survived. But what an experience!!! 👀

We are such a rookie team and it showed. This was our 8th time cooking any KCBS competition. We had such a great time and were met with the same respect as any other team. Thank you to all the teams that gave us some insight and ideas to help get us on the right path!

The coolest part is watching our fellow Mid Atlantic Barbecue Association teams we see at our “local to us” competitions tear it up with calls!!

We also had a huge surprise when teammates from back home just randomly showed up for the weekend! 😳 John and Nicki, thank you for the support ❤️
