A little more of the George’s Flowers story 🌿

Long before plant services looked the way they do today, George and his parents went the extra mile for their customers. After hours, the Clements family would load up plants and deliver them to the local businesses in the Roanoke Valley who trusted them to keep their spaces looking their best.

It’s a small part of our history, but it reflects the hardworking, personal approach George’s Flowers was built on 💚

Around the World with the Roanoke Sheriff's Office! 🌎✈️

George was truly honored to be part of this year’s Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office Senior Citizen Prom— and what an incredible event it was! ✨

With an “Around the World” theme, the Berglund Center completely transformed into RSO Airlines! A classic taxicab welcomed attendees outside, and guests made their way to the “airline ticket counters” at check-in, where they received their very own boarding pass for the evening. 🎟️

Once inside, guests could travel to four different destinations through beautifully decorated vignettes: India, Mexico, Africa, and Hawaii. George was so excited to create a floral design to complement each destination and bring a little extra life to each scene. 🌺

🇮🇳 India: Vibrant hand-strung marigolds
🇲🇽 Mexico: Rich reds & sunny yellows
🦒 Africa: A warm floral design, complete with a giraffe!
🌴 Hawaii: A lush, elegant tropical arrangement

And the flowers weren’t the only thing making this night special! This free event for senior citizens included hair and makeup services, chauffeur services, dancing, and so much more. Nearly 300 attendees came out to enjoy an evening created especially for them. ❤️

We have to give a huge round of applause to the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office for putting on such a fantastic event! 👏 From the airport-themed entrance to the destination vignettes, entertainment, beauty services, transportation, and all the thoughtful details in between, it was clear how much heart went into making this night memorable.

George’s Flowers is proud to serve the entire Roanoke Valley and surrounding communities— including Roanoke County, Salem, Vinton, and beyond! We love creating floral arrangements and being part of special celebrations, events, and milestones throughout our region. ❤️

We are so grateful that George could play a small part in an evening filled with joy, laughter, dancing, flowers, and community. What a wonderful way to celebrate the incredible seniors who make our Roanoke community so special!
