*Bluefields, Jamaica* โ The Bluefields People's Community Development Committee Benevolent Society (BPCDCBS) is excited to announce a significant partnership with the Rotary Club of Savvana la Mar, which serves as the "Host Sponsor," and the Rotary Club of Crescent from District 7690, North Carolina, designated as the "International Sponsor." Joining forces with Jah Works Inc. from North Carolina, USA. This collaborative initiative aims to implement twelve rainwater harvesting systems within the Bluefields community.
The project involves the installation of six systems each in the Belmont and McAlpine Districts, designed to address the community's pressing need for sustainable water sources. Each rainwater harvesting system is projected to cost J$202,500. These systems will help enhance the local population's access to clean and safe water, thereby directly aligning with BPCDCBS's vital "Clean Water for All Program."
The initiative illustrates a committed effort from all parties involved to foster community development and improve living conditions in Bluefields. By capturing and storing rainwater. These systems will not only provide a reliable water source but also promote environmental sustainability and resilience against climate variability.
Working together for a better future, BPCDCBS, supported by the Rotary clubs and Jah Works Inc., is dedicated to creating lasting positive impacts in the Bluefields community.
