Hey all, Lauren here! I just wanted to take a moment to be real and give a huge shout out to my couples, team, and vendor friends. As some of you may know, I've been out of the office while my brother was in the hospital in Atlanta for a week, followed by my Dad having three emergency surgeries and being hospitalized in Orlando for the last month.
Tomorrow will make 5 weeks since we were hit by this curve ball. Life looks a lot different these days - I've averaged flying home for 48 hours every other week, and miss my own bed, pup, and husband more than you know. Let's be real - I'm on a first name basis with most of the ICU team, I know the difference between a JP drain and an NG tube, I've pulled more all-nighters than I can count, and even basic hygiene feels like a luxury most days.
While life isn't always glamourous, I have to say how thankful I am for a job that allows for flexibility when needed, and for everyone who has stepped up in order to give me the space to take care of family these past few weeks. I'm even more thankful that things are now taking a step towards normal!
While I'll still be spending most of my time at the hospital, it feels so good to finally start catching up on my inbox & diving into all the details for our fall weddings, even if it's in a unique office space such as the hospital cafe 🥰 And hey, if I have to be away from home, it doesn't hurt to be somewhere that's full of sunshine and palm trees!
