Anthony Michael Milone, Jr.
Anthony Michael Milone, Jr., 68, of Gaston, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026.
Anthony was born on November 25, 1957, in Hampton, Virginia, the son of the late Sondra Yvonne Fulghum and Anthony Michael Milone, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Stuck, his sister, Victoria Miller, and by Ernest Lee “Pee Wee” Fulghum, Jr., the man who raised him and held a special place in his life. Anthony was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
Anthony cherished time at the lake house with his beloved wife, Bonnie Milone, watching the cranes and geese on the lake and enjoying the quiet comfort of each other’s presence. Being by Bonnie’s side brought him immense joy, and those peaceful moments together were among his most treasured. Anthony had a true love for racing and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed racing cars on the dirt track and was an avid NASCAR fan. When he was not enjoying the excitement of racing, he could often be found fishing or making a trip to Bass Pro Shops, one of his favorite places to visit. These were some of the simple pleasures that brought him happiness and reflected the things he enjoyed most in life.
Those left to cherish Anthony’s memory include his loving wife, Bonnie Milone of 27 years of marriage. His daughter, Rose Milone; his stepson, Eric Mabry and his wife, Shannon; his brother, Corey Milone; his sister, Tracy Vincent and her husband, Steve, and their children, Ethan and Andrew; his grandson, Trace Milone; his granddaughter, Sarah Mabry; his nieces and nephews, Betsy Miller, Franco Miller, Matthew Miller, Nicholas Miller, Lori Jones and her husband, Michael, Donna Gordon and her husband, Murray, along with their children.
Anthony also leaves behind his special friends, Nan Sumner, Gaynell Stone, Barbara Davis, and her son, Eric Davis. He also has his cherished friends at Firestone; Chuck, Peanut, Joe, and Mike. The friendships he shared throughout his life were meaningful to him, and he will be remembered by those who knew and cared for him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, with Reverend Jason Yeatts officiating.
